You can make a difference. If you don't do all of these, choose one and start now:
Replace the conventional bulbs in your three most-used light fixtures with earth-friendly bulbs.
Clean your air filter.
Insulate. Seal air leaks, especially in the attic and basement.
Call your energy company and switch to green power.
Recycle.
Drink water from a glass rather than from a plastic bottle.
Use water outside during the coolest part of the day.
What other suggestions do you have?

Buy a Prius! ;-) Really, with the state rebates and the money saved in gas, the payments are almost affordable.
Do you use dryer sheets? Do you use one of the Swiffers? Believe it or not, I keep the used dryer sheets and then reuse them as Swiffer pads. They're great.
More suggestions:
1) Hang up shirts to dry instead of using the dryer. You won't need the dryer sheets any more.
2) Recycle aluminum - my son just made $12 recycling cans for $0.60/lb. (How many lbs. did it take?)
3)Use a refillable personal water bottle instead of buying bottle water. It takes 1 million gallons of petroleum to make one year's worth of plastic bottles for one company's bottled water.(It's less expensive, too!)
