Go girls!

Kindred Spirit, the magazine I edit for Dallas Theological Seminary, received an Award of Merit from the Evangelical Press Association in the "Cause of the Year: Hunger" category. The award-winning contributors within the issue were Kelley Mathews for an interview article titled "Why Feed the Hungry?" and Shannon Brasel for her two-page photojournalism spread.

How cool! Thanks Sandi for inviting me to contribute. I'm ready to do another one!

Also, glad you're back safe and in time to see Bernadette graduate. I wish I could have been there!

Heather, you clever girl! :) Very cute.

I want to add one note to all this congratulations: Sandi should have been given a co-byline with me on the article. She helped me with several of the questions and told me which direction to take the interview, so much of it came from her. So let's share the kudos all around--the whole issue was fantastic (and I'm tickled even more that it's the one with my son and hubby on the covers!). Thanks, Sandi! (and you'd better not remove this comment)

Ha! Kelley you read my mind. Okay, I'll leave your comment but you did the interview and the work. Thanks for being a humble sort of share-the-kudos girl! Very proud of you and Shannon! You geaux girls! (Love, that Heather!)
